Venture Description

Mz.Initiative, was inspired by the Philadelphia 2015 Mz. Fest. Its mission is social innovation through artistic exploration and is currently a hub for female centric projects, education for young female leaders and advocate for equal opportunity artistic employment.

About the Founder

Amber Emory is a Philadelphia-based theater artist and entrepreneur. Her first company, Creative Caretakers, is a co-op of artists who have a passion for working with children through in-house childcare, group babysitting, and community partnerships. She received her BA in Theater with a concentration in directing from Temple University and will be starting her MFA in Museum Exhibition Planning and Design at University of the Arts in the Fall of 2017. As a freelance theater artist, she has worked with a diverse array of Philadelphia Theater companies including the Arden Theatre Company, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Simpatico Theatre Project, The Wilma Theater, The Renegade Company, Pig Iron and Found Theater Company.
