Venture Description

Noga pivoted her venture to serve a mission in the COVID19 Pandemic, building an emergency ventilator product that is now backed by the United States Department of Defense with her two partners at Rapid Medical Parts, Inc. She is working to compile a prototype, get FDA fast track approved with a plan to GTM (Go to Market) by mid-May 2020.

About the Founder

Noga currently serves as Chief of Staff to a data analytics Tech CEO in the Philadelphia area. She spent her career in the multifamily/commercial development business, financial services and supporting the Family Office arena in both a financial and administrative capacity. She worked on an annual report in the REITS that won bronze in its industry at 19. Noga holds a BBA in Finance and Investments from Baruch College. She is passionate about community, feeding the very basic needs of a “happy human” and living mindfully. She was born on a kibbutz overlooking the dead sea in Israel and works now to support the Jerusalem private school system where she hopes to help capitalize more advanced programs for girls in both Science and Engineering.

Venture Description
The Shaw Method is a health and wellness business designed to create community and human connection while each individual member becomes a healthier and happier version of themselves. Whether online or in-person, The Shaw Method is a welcoming space that providing opportunities for its members to sweat, get stronger, socialize, and give back, no matter their physical location, in the hopes of finding a bit of sanity in this crazy world.

About the Founder
Katie is a yoga and fitness instructor, health coach, and licensed attorney who inspires others to figure out what it means to truly live their best lives. She focuses her yoga and fitness practices and teachings on strength, mobility, and alignment within the confines of a fun flowing format. Katie dares her students to not take themselves too seriously whether on or off the mat, and loves to watch others light up when they discover new limits as to what they can achieve. Currently, Katie can be found teaching yoga and fitness at EverybodyFights, online through her Kickass Quarantine W(out)FH program, and by virtual or in-person appointment.

Venture Description

TheKindversation will be a media outlet that sttarts out as a YouTube channel that creates storytelling content connecting people. The hope is that TheKindersations will grow to a point where more compassionate projects will be produced in other ways like writing, streaming, movies, and many other forms. This is important because we all have someone we love we can’t talk to. Using these forms as stepping stones to show people that we all are not so different.

About the Founder

Caleb Murphy was born in Hartwell Georgia, growing up in South Carolina and attending the Govern’s school for the Arts and Humanities for Theatre. He then went to Coastal Carolina university where he got his BFA in Physical Theatre. After graduation Caleb moved to Philly where he did a couple of shows and worked as the scenic construction intern at the Arden. Caleb also worked as an early childhood educator for 6 month to 5 year olds. Caleb hopes to create digital content based on compassion.

About the Founder
Jessica is an immersive experience designer dedicated to crafting playful, transformative experiences that bring people together. She is the founder of IKantKoan LLC, a production company focused on playfully exploring complex subject matter like climate change, ethics, chaos, and love. Jessica is a Professor of Game Design at Drexel University, a climate change game designer with The National Parks Service, a 2020 Arctic Circle Artist-in-Residence, and she recently gave a TEDx talk about embracing uncertainty through play. She is a graduate of The Pig Iron School of Advanced Performance Training and her work has been presented at The World Economic Forum, PAX East, PAX Unplugged, The Franklin Institute, IndieCade, Bandwi/d/th International, Tanween Creativity Festival in Ithra, Saudi Arabia, HERE Arts, FringeNYC, BostonFIG, and on KQED San Fransisco. Her New York Times recommended show, CHAOS THEORY, recently won the Best Social Immersion Award from Immersion Nation and is currently running at Caveat Theater, NYC.

Venture Description 
Repair the World Philadelphia was founded in 2013 to mobilize Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. Philly Repair addresses pressing local needs through service, learning, and reflection grounded in Jewish values. This work is led by local staff and a cohort of Fellows that recruit and engage young adults to serve alongside local partners, learn about and reflect on the meaning of service, and build a lasting community of volunteers. Philly Repair strives to build deep relationships with local organizations, partners, and neighbors to amplify local voices, deepen the impact of service, and create a more equitable Philadelphia for all residents.

About the Founder
Dani was born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia. After attending the University of Maryland and spending time in Brooklyn, New York, she is now living and working in the city of Philadelphia as the Program Director of Repair the World Philadelphia. Dani is inspired by her community members and she is driven to volunteer with local nonprofits. In her free time you can find Dani attending community events, trying out new restaurants, running in the neighborhood, and spending time with her family and friends.

MakeAway Retreats is an arts-based retreat program that makes creativity more approachable to young professionals who are feeling burnt out from the stress of work. We offer introductory workshops on a range of creative skills, from creative writing to mosaic-making, with the goal of helping participants connect with a new community of local peers and build new creative habits that they can incorporate into their lives to manage stress.

About the Founder
Matt is a writer, a teacher, and a professional dedicated to environmental sustainability. A graduate of the London School of Economics, Matt’s background is in international development and clean energy advocacy, but he is also passionate about writing stories and living a life rich with meaning. Matt is currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing at Temple University where he also teaches persuasive writing skills to undergraduates. In his life, Matt hopes to foster a creative, intentional, and sustainable community of loved ones, friends, and colleagues.

CreativeCare Consulting aims to cultivate more empathy, connection, and fulfillment in the world of mental healthcare. Grounded in the principles of humanism and person-centered care, we take an individualized approach to treatment that highlights the unique needs of every person. We seek to engage in research that explores the theory and practice of person-centered care to help mental healthcare facilities increase treatment efficacy and improve well-being for clients and staff alike. Specifically, we hope to provide education, training, and guidance that encourages staff self-care, healthy staff-client relationships, and pleasant physical environments to promote wellness. We believe that responding thoughtfully to the needs of individuals will support a future of mental healthcare that is powered by compassion and connection.

About the Founder
As a music therapist, Shoshana promotes psychological health by creatively combining traditional talk therapy with music. She also enjoys singing, playing guitar, and writing music on her own time. Her other favorite pastimes include traveling, reading at the beach, spending Shabbat with friends and family, and brainstorming ways to improve wellness within mental healthcare.

In addition to being a lifelong learner, he is a graduate of Temple University and Holy Family University. He was also his Hebrew school’s first “mensch of the month.”

Inspired by the principle of Tikkun Olam and the art of kintsugi, Ehyeh hopes to create spaces for recognition of one’s self as a perpetual creation. That’s why we want to make it easier for Philadelphia’s animals to get easier access to healthcare, training, and enrichment opportunities, no matter what their human’s schedule and budget looks like. iGoodBoy is a veterinary telehealth service and animal training course for dogs, cats, and humans who may not be able to access a standard brick and mortar veterinarian office.

About the Founder

Born and raised in the one and only Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Ashley Toal is a lifelong lover of animals, starting from her first pet goldfish. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Communications from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Ashley currently works in Product Development in with a health insurance plan. She hopes to unite animals and people so that they may maintain healthy lifestyles together. Ashley lives in South Philadelphia with her husband Jonathan Wetstein,  their two cats, Opal and Oblina Wetstein.
