For the majority of our constituents, their relationship with being Jewish is complicated and evolving. Our 20s/30s have taught us that their engagement in Jewish life must be natural, self learned, and affirmed by trusted peer networks. It is our job to create an inroad to that experience. How do we do it?
E N G A G E M E N T
the initial steps which often happen in stops and starts
E N R I C H M E N T
when a person makes a conscious choice to do something Jewish that requires commitment and personal exploration
E M P O W E R M E N T
when a person has transcended partaking in Jewish behaviors that can be turned on and off, to a state when Judaism is consciously and unconsciously integrated into the essential components of their life which we call the Five Ps: partner, peers, place, profession, and purpose.
Tribe 12 acts as a guide for those willing to walk with us because we believe there is no right way to be Jewish — it is a personal, individual path. Tribe 12 helps people to choose to walk that path for themselves.
