Breathe In & Branch Out: A Guided Meditation/Reflection For Tu B’Shvat

Breathe In and Branch Out

Confronting and understanding our privilege can be an uncomfortable and daunting experience. As members of both marginalized and privileged groups, Jews share a unique position in society of both understanding certain aspects of oppression, while also having the power and responsibility to uplift others. Additionally, Judaism has a long history and tradition of generosity and service through “Gemilut Chasadim” (acts of charity) and “Tikkun Olam” (repairing the world).

For Tu B’Shvat, join Tribe 12 in a guided meditation and reflection on oppression, inequality, the ways we can accept the discomfort that accompanies our privilege and how we can use our privilege to elevate other marginalized groups.
