The events of the past few weeks have caused people to reach out about learning self defense, so we listened! In partnership with The Chevra, Jewish Graduate Student Network, & Tribe 12 we invite 20s/30s in Philly’s Jewish community to this hands-on primer of Gracie jiu-jitsu and Krav Maga street survival tactics. This class is a taste of a *8 -week course that we’ll be offering in the fall!
Our (badass) instructors are U.S. Army Cavalry Scout Brandon Williams who brings 5+ years of commando Krav Maga training and Louis DeAndre, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt with 5+ years of judo and 7+ years MMA training.
6:30pm: Arrival, stretching, chatting
7-8pm: One-hour self defense class
No experience required! Please bring a water bottle and dress in gym/comfy clothes and sneakers. When you arrive at the 12th Street Gym, someone will greet you at the entrance and direct you to the class.
Space is limited! $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
