Spring Equinox Creative Writing Workshop

Mark the dawn of spring (finally!!) with a virtual creative writing workshop with the Briya Project! We’ll be joining their quarterly drop-in writing workshop, Tefuka, which is held at each solstice and equinox.

Here is how the Briya Project describes the session: We will begin with a communal ritual and creative prompt, focused on the Spring Equinox and the burgeoning season. And then, you will write. You will write alone, but together. We will reconvene, and those who wish to will share their work, and we will give each other supportive and useful feedback. We will then close with a ritual, and wish each other a sweet season as each participant continues to journey on their creative path.

No previous experience or knowledge of writing or Judaism necessary!

There is a needs-based sliding scale for this session of $10-$20. Our site will redirect you to the Briya Project’s site where you can register, pay and receive the link to join the event. Please reach out to us at yo@tribe12.org if you need additional financial or accessibility support to fully engage in this program — we are happy to help.

Facilitated by Talia Werber, Founder and Instructor of the Briya Project. Talia is a writer, storyteller, visual artist, mediator, facilitator, and incoming rabbinical student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.

Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. We commit to creating a space that celebrates the many gender identities and expressions, sexualities, religious practices, ethnic and multi-ethnic identities, racial and multi-racial identities, disabilities, and financial circumstances that make up our Jewish community.
