Escape from Yemen: An AJC ACCESS Happy Hour Program featuring Mohammed al Samawi

Mohammed Al Samawi is a human rights activist who fled Yemen with the help of AJC. Raised to think of Jews as his enemy, Mohammed has since become a champion of Muslim-Jewish dialogue. Please join us to hear about the current situation in Yemen, prospects for peace in the region, and the harrowing tale of how Mohammed escaped from a building full of al-Qaeda operatives, with the assistance of AJC and peace activists, to arrive in the US.

The program is generously hosted by Elijah Dornstreich, AJC Philadelphia Executive Committee Member, at Bernstein. This program will include beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres, and prior registration is required to attend. Please contact Max Buchdahl, AJC Philadelphia’s ACCESS Associate, at buchdahlm.temp@ajc.org with questions and to RSVP. We hope to see you on March 27!

*ACCESS AJC is the place for young Jewish professionals in their 20s and 30s who want to work with peers from across the globe to change the world.
