Everyone welcome! Join us for an evening of sharing and reflection about the importance of including people with disabilities and their families in Jewish life. Disability advocate and singer-songwriter Joanie Calem will help us to explore how, through awareness and collaboration, we can find creative ways to integrate and embrace people who are wired differently. Joanie will share original songs and folk stories from our Jewish heritage, showing how our ancestors were cognizant of the need to encompass all the members of the shtetl. Inclusion leaders from local synagogues will have an opportunity to meet each other and share resources and successes. Open to the whole community!
If you need any kind of accommodation to attend, contact WCI Director Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
