Have you heard that elections for the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, will be taking place in April? Do you have questions about which parties are running, what their platforms are, and who is expected to gain the most Knesset seats? If so, we have a program for you!
Join AJC ACCESS Philadelphia* for an exclusive briefing with Amir Tibon, Washington D.C. correspondent for Haaretz, one of Israel’s leading newspapers. Amir will be joining us less than two weeks prior to the monumental Israeli elections to share an update about what to expect and look out for when Israelis head to the polls.
In his role with Haaretz, Tibon covers the U.S.-Israel relationship, the Middle East peace process and the American Jewish community. His reporting on Israel and the Middle East has appeared in The Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, Politico Magazine, The New Yorker, Tablet Magazine and other leading U.S. publications. His first book, a biography of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, was published in 2017. Amir served for three years in the IDF intelligence corps as an Arabic language specialist and holds a B.A. in history from the Open University of Israel.
$15 program cost includes dinner and drinks. Please visit https://accessamirtibon.eventbrite.com to register now and reserve your spot! Questions? Contact Max Buchdahl at buchdahlm@ajc.org.
