SOLIDARITY HANUKKAH 2017/5778
Kol Tzedek is West Philly’s Synagogue and every year we invite our entire community to PARTY with us for the festival of lights!
This year we are working to match a generous donation towards our Muslim Solidarity organizing work, part of our Justice & Action Committee. Suggested donation is $5-25 per person for the event, with no one turned away. If you can’t attend, you can still donate towards this project! Use the “tickets” link above and select “Muslim-Jewish Solidarity” on the donation form.
Schedule of awesome events:
4-5:30pm:
Latke & Potluck Dinner! NEW Craft Sale! Book Sale! with Bindlestiff Books! Games & Art Projects!
5:30pm:
Candle Lighting! and Blessings!
5:45-7pm:
Dessert! Dancing!
Simcha Band klezmer concert!
We’ll welcome contributions in the form of: Vegetarian salads & sides (think fresh & green dishes to balance out the fried goodness!), pre-warmed homemade Latkes, and/or homemade or store-bought Sufganiyot/Bimuelos/Doughnuts.
If you’d like, bring your own menorah/hanukkiah and candles to add to the communal blaze. And your plate/cup/cutlery/napkin to help reduce waste. And of course cash or your checkbook for your entry donation and the Craft Sale! (reminder, no one turned away)
If you’d like to donate handmade items for our NEW Craft Sale, please use the link posted in the comments below to sign up.
