Leaving Hate: A Conversation with Fred Cook

Join Tribe 12 and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) for an important conversation about one man’s journey into extreme hate, how he found his way out and what it can teach us about how bigotry spreads.

About Fred Cook:

Fred Cook is many things: a South Philly native, a devoted father, the founder of a non-profit and a former Neo-Nazi. As a teenager, Fred longed for belonging, which local hate groups were all too willing to take advantage of. Now, in his 40s Fred has not only found his way out, but he is also in the process of converting to Judaism and has embraced a life dedicated to helping others leave hate groups.
