Join OneTable and Tribe 12 at the Weitzman museum for an evening dedicated to folks in their 20s and 30s disconnecting from the week and phones/devices while reconnecting with community, rest, and nourishment.
Permission to Unplug invites you to step away from technology and instead step deeper into community with a twist. We don’t know about you but we are a bit tired of talking about “What do you do?” and “Where are you from?” and “Where do you live?”, only to be on “socializing autopilot.” We often find ourselves wishing we could connect with folks over the things we really care about.
So for this Permission to Unplug event, we are going to skip the small talk and engage in conversations of depth and meaning. We’ll be offering “big talk” conversational prompts to get you started, and we’ll have lots of structure to make sure that you actually talk to people and that it’s not awkward. Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we’ll have plenty to choose from! We’ll give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.
This event will be facilitated by Molly Paul, Rabbinic intern at Tribe 12.
The cost for this event will be $10 – if cost is a barrier to you please reach out to chaim@onetable.org and we are absolutely happy to waive it.
This dinner is being hosted as part of a partnership between OneTable and Tribe 12. By registering for this dinner, you are agreeing to receive email communications from both organizations.
