Nishima: Guided Jewish Meditation

Yoga. Namaste. Mantra.

To anyone who has practiced yoga in the Western world, the language of Sanskrit has become embedded into our spiritual practices.

During this monthly offering, we invite you to connect with Hebrew, another ancient language with deep roots in meditation that we can all use to bring balance into our daily lives. In Hebrew, “nishima” (breath) and “neshemah” (soul) come from the same root and we’ll use these words to anchor to the present through a breath prayer and guided meditation.

All are welcome, no previous meditation experience or Hebrew fluency are needed to participate in this mindful practice.
