Queer Song Circle with A Queer Nigun Project

Song is a connector, connecting us to our voices and our bodies, to those who surround us, to those who have sung these melodies before and those who will sing them after us. Here at Tribe 12, we want to find more ways for our community to connect in deep in our joy and in our struggles through song.

This Pride month, we are partnering with A Queer Nigun Project to create a space for queer folks to gather together in song. Led by Rachel Chang, Marni Loffman and Tribe 12’s Rabbinic Intern Molly Paul we will root ourselves in the songs of our people, co-creating a potent space of exploration and belonging. With song as a tool for accessing our individual an collective strength and resilience, we will cultivate and nourish ourselves for the work ahead.

Registration is $5 and a vegetarian dinner will be served. Payment will be made directly to the Queer Nigun Project and a link to do so will be sent upon registration.

Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. We welcome people who identify as Jewish, whose partner is Jewish, or who are exploring Judaism. Tribe 12 seeks to include all individuals regardless of gender or identity expression, religious history and practice, and financial circumstances. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including disabled individuals, to engage fully. If you require any accommodations please see our page on accommodations. Feel free to contact us with any questions at info@tribe12.org
