Reflecting on the Holocaust Through Story and Song

Cantor* and former Auschwitz prisoner David Wisnia and his grandson, singer/songwriter Avi Wisnia, will share music and the remarkable story of Mr. Wisnia’s survival of Auschwitz, where he was imprisoned for three years. Learn how music helped him survive.
* A Cantor is a person trained in the vocal arts who helps lead Jewish congregations in prayer. Mr. Wisnia was a local cantor for many years. He served as cantor at Temple Shalom in Levittown, PA for 28 years and at Har Sinai Hebrew Congregation in Trenton, NJ for 23 years.

This event includes a tour of our exhibition featuring photographs of concentration camp art from the collection of the Auschwitz Memorial in Poland.
