Seeds, Snacks, & Six Packs

Join us for a night of seed packing, snack eating and drinking! (Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided) We will be packing seeds with Owen Taylor, the founder of Truelove Seeds. He works with rural and urban food justice projects to preserve and proliferate culturally important heirloom seeds and the stories and traditions embodied in them.
The Neighborhood Gardens Trust will talk about the critical role they play in preserving, protecting and promoting community gardening throughout Philadelphia, including one of Owen’s gardens!

January 31st is also Tu B’Shvat, the Jewish New Year of the Trees! Packaging seeds and learning about their cultural relevance is how we’re celebrating this holiday!

Don’t forget to reserve your spot through Eventbrite!
