We’re so honored and excited to partner with the Jewish Farm School to adopt their Shtetl Skills workshops into the Tribe 12 community! In each workshop, you’ll be able to take home new skills from local professional farmers, herbalists, bakers, and chefs that align with the themes of the Hebrew calendar and connect to living more sustainably.
Join Tribe 12’s Davinica Nemtzow; Nati Passow, Director of the Jewish Farm School; and Owen Taylor, creator of Truelove Seeds; for a hands-on seed saving workshop and a short lecture about best seed saving techniques for urban gardens. In this kick-off event, we’ll be celebrating the merging of these two long-standing Jewish communities in Philadelphia and you’ll have the chance to learn more about how to get involved with our newest tribe!
Light nosh will be provided.
Accessibility:
There are elevators up to the 8th floor, accessible restrooms, and doorways of sufficient width for wheelchairs to enter. The workshop will take place on tables that have movable wooden benches.
