Speed Friending

New to Philly, new to the Jewish community, or just want to make some new friends? Let us handle the conversation starters and a space to connect — all you have to bring is yourself and an openness to meeting great people in their 20s & 30s!

We’ll skip the small talk with a style of connecting called Authentic Relating, designed for you to meet some new people and get to know others more easily. Our friends at Let’s Be Authentic (letsbeauthentic.com) will facilitate small group and one-on-one conversations that are more than just the what-do-you-do, where-do-you-live convos you’ve had a thousand times and are whatever the opposite of painfully awkward is. By the end of the night you’ll have met everyone in the room! We’ll even handle passing along everyone’s contact info afterwards (with permission, of course).

This event is perfect for introverts, shy folks and people who don’t love a big happy hour — that’s why it’s at a (beautiful) gallery and there’s no bar! We will have flatbreads (vegetarian with dairy-free and gluten-free options) from &pizza and cheese from Di Bruno Bros. to shmooze over (because everything is better with a solid cheese board).

Space is intentionally limited to keep that cozy small group vibe so tell us you’re coming soon!

Accessibility notes: this event is not wheelchair accessible due to a flight of stairs. We are happy to provide a sign language interpreter. If you require this or other accommodations to fully participate in this event, please email danielle@tribe12.org. Note that our upcoming Do What You Do: Finding the Right Job event is in a space that is wheelchair and mobility device accessible.
