Tacos and Torah: Tacos, Torah, and Tribe 12

Join Rabbi Megan for a special pre-Passover edition of Tacos and Torah. We will use the Passover story of moving from slavery to freedom as a lens to examine our own families’ stories of migration. We will also investigate the command to not oppress the stranger because of the Jewish experience as strangers in Egypt and discuss how this calls us to think about those who seek safety among us in America today.

Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. We welcome people who identify as Jewish, whose partner is Jewish, or who are exploring Judaism. Tribe 12 seeks to include all individuals regardless of gender or identity expression, religious history and practice, and financial circumstances. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including disabled individuals, to engage fully. If you require any accommodations please see our page on accommodations. Feel free to contact us with any questions at info@tribe12.org.
