If you’re Jewish and queer in Philadelphia, chances are you’ve probably met Galia Godel. She’s a brilliant educator, impossibly hard-working, with a personality as bold as her lipsticks..long story short, we’re in love. In her free time (?!) she’s created a Jewish burlesque show, Caber-Oy: Gelty Pleasures and it’s basically the show of our dreams!
Doors @ 7, show @ 8
Why should you get your tickets through Tribe 12?
1. Sit with a group of other LGBTQIA+ Jews in their 20s/30s
2. Avoid the annoying service fees, we’ve covered them!
3. Food! We’re going to order a couple appetizers for the table, enough said.
Do you miss your bubbie’s sufganiot? Have a strong opinion about latke toppings? Love stripping?
Caber-Oy is the event for you!
Ten Members of the Tribe are going to sing, dance, strip, and shimmy to everything from klezmer to Weird Al to Dan Nichols, and everything in between.
