Valentine’s Day Volunteering

Elevate the Hallmark-iest of holidays by giving back and hanging out. Every month, Philly’s own Jewish Relief Agency delivers 6,400 boxes of food and essentials to low-income folks in our community. Our job will be to brighten up those boxes with some handwritten cards!

While we write, we’ll be joined by JRA’s Volunteer Program Manager Maddy Levine-Wolf who will educate us about food insecurity, the challenges JRA has faced during COVID-19, and the importance of the cards we’re writing.

We’ll keep it fun with your choice of different breakout rooms (quiet or social? Music or white noise?) and optional off-camera time to write. All you need to bring is a pen and a stack of printer paper, or get fancy with art supplies or stickers you have lying around. At the end, we’ll all show off our masterpieces and award some nerdy superlatives.

Coupled, solo, or anywhere in between, you are welcome to join us!

Accessibility: A sign language interpreter, live captioning, and advanced materials are available by request. To aid us in accommodating these and other needs for you to fully participate in this event, please email info@tribe12.org or call us at (267) 652-0088 with at least three days notice.
