The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is hosting Ifat Baron, Founder and CEO of ItWorks (http://itworks.org.il/), a high-tech recruitment and placement organization that also promotes employment diversity in the industry, along with Sireen Nijeem, an Arab engineer and a graduate of ItWorks, who was the first woman computer-science engineer from her community, and is almost always the first Arab employee in every company where she works.
Together, they will share insights into the private sector and national efforts to integrate Israel’s Arab citizens into its most renowned industry, on the one hand, and the personal journey of an Arab citizen—a woman especially—who broke barriers, broke into this world and is now a role model for others.
Following the event, there will be a private reception with the speakers exclusively for Ben Gurion Society (BGS) members. To reserve your spot for the BGS private reception, please email Max Moline at mmoline@jewishphilly.org.
The event is free but please register here: http://bit.ly/2SxnKgi
This program will be organized with support from NextGen and co-sponsored by the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and the Israeli-American Council.
