Celebrate some new moon vibes with some badass Philly humans. The Jewish calendar follows the moon cycle so at the beginning of each month, womxn all over the world get together to mark that moment.
The upcoming month of Adar is about FUN — getting silly, seeking happiness, and flinging away the normal constraints of our identities to uncover hidden gifts. To that end, we invite you to bring a small item ($5 or less, or re-gifted or homemade!) for a fun gift exchange. We’ll also take over a few cozy couches and have a lightly guided conversation based on At The Well‘s excellent resources.
Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. Tribe 12 welcomes people who identify as Jewish, whose partner is Jewish, or who are exploring Judaism.
Repair The World Philadelphia mobilizes volunteers to support our community, learn about social issues affecting our city, and live out the Jewish value of tikkun olam – repairing the world.
We seek to include all individuals regardless of identity expression, health and disability (visible or invisible), financial circumstances or other needs, and we try to be transparent about to what extent we can accommodate needs at each individual event. For this event, we welcome all who feel they belong in a Jewish-woman’s space, regardless of sex assigned at birth, gender expression, religious history or practice (thanks to Wominyan for this definition). The event is free of charge. The location is a wheelchair-accessible space. We are happy to provide a sign language interpreter. If you require these or other accommodations to fully participate or have any questions, email danielle@tribe12.org.
