Honorees
Danielle & Jonah Abrams
Jonah and Danielle Abrams value community building and modern traditions.
Jonah and Danielle are both Tribe leaders, volunteers who lead affinity groups at Tribe 12. Jonah is the founder and leader of Well Read Mensches, a men's book club, and Danielle is a founding member and facilitator of Moon Circle, a women's group that coincides with Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of the Jewish month.
Danielle was a Tribe 12 Fellow in the 2019 cohort where she launched HamsaMade. She has also served as a peer mentor and retreat workshop facilitator for the Fellowship. Jonah has been involved in Tribe 12 since 2015, jointly running many collaborative events as a resident of Moishe House Philadelphia.
Matt Pincus
Since 1985, Matt Pincus has been at the helm of Pincus Elevator Company, Inc., steering the company to become a leader in the elevator industry. Matt has combined a passion for customer service with keen business acumen and a commitment to quality and innovation.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys the great outdoors through trail running and hiking, embracing the beauty of nature whenever possible. An avid woodworking enthusiast, Matt finds joy in creating handcrafted pieces that reflect both skill and artistry. Music also plays a significant role in his life with guitar serving as a beloved pastime.
Matt is happily married to Gail and proud to be the father of Emily who is now the third generation in the family business, currently serving as President. Residing in Chester County, Matt values the balance of family life and professional commitment, fostering a legacy of excellence within the industry.
Danielle Selber
Danielle Selber has supported hundreds of young Jewish Philadelphians in both their entrepreneurial endeavors and their search for community and partnership for over a decade.
In 2011, Danielle was a Fellow in the inaugural class of the Tribe 12 Fellowship. She joined the Tribe 12 staff in 2012 and from 2013 to 2017 she served as coordinator of the Tribe 12 Fellowship program. In 2017, using the skills she developed in the Tribe 12 Fellowship, Danielle founded Tribe 12's matchmaking initiative which has become a successful cornerstone Tribe 12 program. Today, she serves as lead matchmaker at Tribe 12 and continues to hold the Tribe 12 Fellowship as a beloved portfolio project.
Danielle is a lifelong Philadelphian and American-Israeli dual citizen. She received her Masters in Jewish Studies from Gratz College where she wrote her thesis on modern applications of Jewish matchmaking. She serves on the boards of Emily's Entourage, a cystic fibrosis research foundation, and Jewish Kids Groups, a nationwide Jewish after school initiative.
Ariella Werden-Greenfield
Ariella Werden-Greenfield serves as Director of Interfaith Inclusion and Civil Discourse at Temple University, where she also acts as Special Advisor on Antisemitism and chairs the university’s Interfaith Council. Prior to stepping into her current roles, she served as Associate Director of Temple’s Feinstein Center for American Jewish History, a position that featured prominently on the vision board that she created while participating in the Tribe 12 Fellowship program in 2015.
Ariella's research centers on religion, power, and popular culture in the Americas. She is coeditor of This Is Your Song Too: Phish and Contemporary Jewish Identity (Penn State University Press, 2023). Her writing also appears in academic journals and edited volumes, including Religion in Philadelphia: A Reader (Temple University Press, 2016) and Savoring Gotham: A Food Lover’s Companion to New York City (Oxford University Press, 2015).
Ariella holds a Ph.D. in Religion from Temple University and a B.A, also in Religion, from Skidmore College.
