Jason Holtzman
Jason Holtzman is the Chief of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, where he also directs the Center to Combat Antisemitism. In this role, he leads advocacy, education, and coalition-building initiatives that strengthen Jewish life and foster interfaith and cross-community partnerships.
Jason has spent his entire professional career in the Jewish community and has previously held positions with Hillel International, ADL, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, and the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA). He is deeply committed to advancing dialogue, combating antisemitism, and cultivating meaningful relationships across diverse communities.
He lives in New Jersey with his wife, young son, and dog, and enjoys music, Middle Eastern food, and traveling the world.
Rabbi Nathan and Caroline Kamesar
Rabbi Nathan S. Kamesar is honored to serve as the Rabbi of Society Hill Synagogue. Rabbi Kamesar has served the community since 2014, first as Rabbinic Intern, then as Associate Rabbi beginning in 2018, and as Senior Rabbi since 2020. The community has grown significantly across all generations under his leadership. In addition to being ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Rabbi Kamesar earned an M.S. in Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania. Before rabbinical school, Rabbi Kamesar was an attorney. Prior to law school, Rabbi Kamesar served two years with AmeriCorps*VISTA.
Caroline is the Executive Director of the Lasko Family Foundation. This role brings together her professional experiences in the Jewish non-profit world nationally and direct service social work locally. Before arriving at the Foundation, Caroline worked as the Director of Professional Development for 18Doors and in a number of roles focused on maternal and child health in Philadelphia. Caroline's passion for Jewish community and lived Jewish values extends beyond her professional life, and she has been a board member of HIAS PA and Tribe 12, and a Community Partner for JEVS.
Rabbi Kamesar and Caroline both grew up in the Philadelphia area and reside in Society Hill with their daughters, Lila and Nina.
