  • Davinica Nemtzow wears many hats, but is most known in Philadelphia’s Jewish community for her work as Tribe 12’s LGBTQIA+ Coordinator where she helps LGBTQIA+ young professionals explore the intersection between their queerness and Jewishness through monthly events. She moved to Philadelphia in 2011 to earn her BFA in Illustration and Creative Writing from Moore College of Art & Design. The evening of her college graduation, she shed her cap & gown and immediately moved into Moishe House Philadelphia where she hosted events for Philly’s Jewish community while working as a marketing designer.

In 2017 she left her marketing job to launch her nonprofit feminist art organization, Creating United Empowerment, through the Tribe 12 Fellowship. The Fellowship set Davinica on her entrepreneurial journey and when she’s not building a more inclusive Jewish community, she’s working on her art, freelancing as a graphic designer for local nonprofits, designing for Avodah in New York City, leading meditations, and working on Planted, an environmental art organization that she founded in April.
