Unleavened: A Maccababes Passover Comedy Show

It’s the Jewish celebration of Passover, but you don’t need to know the holiday to have a good time! Join the Maccababes, an all-Jewish improv team, for a night of laughs and a vague explanation of Passover (or a Rugrats Passover)! Celebrate with us, and bring along some macaroons!

Improv Tribe: Open House and Workshop

Was your New Years Resolution to have more fun? Try new things? Laugh?

Before the start of our next full improv class session, try it out in a low-stakes and highly supportive environment! Taught by the Bible Players and improv expert Andrew Davies, you’ll explore your creativity and stretch your brain. No prior experience is necessary. All you need is an open mind and contact with your inner child!

First Thursday Happy Hour: Jews and Tattoos

New to town, or just new to Philly’s Jewish scene? At Tribe 12’s monthly First Thursday Happy Hour, everyone is there to meet new people, so there’s a super friendly and welcoming vibe.

Happy New Year: secular world edition! We’re celebrating by sharing some drinks and tater tots on the second floor of one of Ross’ favorite bars in the city: Tattooed Mom! Show off your ink (if you have any), or apply any of the fun temporary tattoos we’ll have on hand.

Plus, see an exclusive performance by Tribe 12’s improv cohort!

Remember how Jared Leto’s Joker had all those tattoos? This is how we’re justifying the mashup of comedy and tattoos at this happy hour. Hey, we’re trying our best here!

If this will be your first Tribe 12 event, find a Tribe 12 staff member at the door so we can buy you your first drink and welcome you to the community! New attendees and peers are encouraged to show up between 6 and 6:30, so all the new people get a chance to meet each other first.

Do you love to laugh? Want to come out of your shell? Learn a new skill?

Back by popular demand, the Bible Players’ Andrew Davies (https://www.thebibleplayers.com/) is returning to teach the third round of our improv class! Everyone is welcome to sign up and attend; no prior improv experience is necessary to have fun! Space in the class is limited, so be sure to register beforehand.

The class will take place over six weeks and culminates in a performance during Tribe 12’s December happy hour! If you’ve ever wanted to test your comedic chops, now is your chance!

$12 a class, or $55 for all six!

Note: the first class on October 16th will take place in Matthias Baldwin Park (19th and Callowhill)
