Did you know Philadelphia is home to one of the world’s first penitentiaries? Did you know Al Capone stayed there in a fancy-decorated cell? And did you know they had a synagogue built for its Jewish prisoners?
Join us as we visit this historic site (all attendees will receive a free hand warmer for the spooky cold parts of the tour)! After the tour, we’ll all grab a drink at Urban Saloon or OCF Cafe; the group votes on whether a stiff cocktail or coffee warms us up!
Space is limited in our tour group, so register fast! The price goes up the longer you wait.
Inclusion notes: Tribe 12 seeks to include all individuals regardless of disability (visible or invisible), financial circumstances, or other needs. We try to be transparent about to what extent we can accommodate needs at each individual event. For specific information about Eastern State’s accessibility, click here to learn more. A sign language interpreter is available by request. If the cost of this event is a barrier for you, please let us know and we can help you. To aid us in accommodating these and other needs for you to fully participate in this event, please email email@example.com.
New to town, or just new to Philly’s Jewish scene? At Tribe 12’s monthly First Thursday Happy Hour, everyone is there to meet new people so there’s a super friendly and welcoming vibe.
Ho ho ho! Merry non-denominational holiday time! Enjoy a hot cocoa (or something a bit stronger) at Dilworth Park’s Rothman Cabin! Located right next to the ice skating rink (and a stone’s throw from 15th Street Station’s subway stop), we’ll be celebrating the beautiful winter weather and transforming Christmas Village to Hanukkah Village for one night only!
And yeah, there’ll be some dreidels.
If this will be your first Tribe 12 event, find a Tribe 12 staff member at the door so we can buy you your first drink and welcome you to the community! New attendees and peers are encouraged to show up between 6 and 6:30, so all the new people get a chance to meet each other first.
Inclusion note: Tribe 12 prioritizes the inclusion of all individuals who would like to participate and require accommodations due to a disability (visible or invisible). If you have specific needs to fully participate in this event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tetherball, four square, double-dutch, and more! We’re venturing outside for some more recess fun, this time at the Art Museum’s The Oval on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway! We’ll be exploring all the fun activities the space has to offer, from recess sports to art installations.
This is an event for people of all sports abilities. If you have two gold medals or two left feet, we’d love you to join us for some fun in the sun!
It’s summertime, so please bring a full water bottle for staying hydrated.
Accessibility note: Tribe 12 prioritizes inclusion of all individuals who would like to participate and require accommodations due to a disability (visible or invisible). If you need accommodation to fully participate in this event, please email us.
