Playwriting Tribe

Playwriting Tribe Instagram Post

This Jewish playwriting group invites writers of all experience levels to share creative space together. The group’s goals are to foster a safe and supportive space for Jewish playwrights, encourage exploration for new writers, and provide opportunities to hear work read aloud.

The monthly drop-in meetings will include a mix of writing sessions with optional prompts inspired by Jewish themes and reading days with structured feedback.

While focused on playwriting, those interested in other forms of performance writing are welcome to attend to see if the group is a good fit.

This group is led by Tribe 12 Fellowship alumni Doriane Feinstein (’19) and Aimee Goldstein (’21) of Curlyfish Productions.

Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. We welcome people who identify as Jewish, whose partner is Jewish, or who are exploring Judaism.

If you require any accommodations in order to fully participate in our programming, please see our page on accommodations. If you require any financial assistance to participate, contact us at info@tribe12.org.

By attending this program, you are committing to follow our Code of Conduct. If you feel that the Code of Conduct is violated at any Tribe 12 program, you can find information on reporting an incident here.
